Passing trains,
passing time,
passing voice,
passing by.

A city could change but memories remains.
Alongside the silences, many stories were told.

Hidden in furnitures,
hidden in walls.
Listen closely — you might be found.

Over & Over is a one day group exhibition that explores the conjunction of multiple identities and narratives, sewn together by acts of building and organizing.

The students and alumni from the MFA Public Art and New Artistic Strategies of the Bauhaus University in Weimar assemble imaginary lines that tie their own experiences regarding migration and displacement, while practicing loops and ruptures on the fabric that intertwines political and personal narratives.

20 artists approach subjects that range from archives and imaginaries linked to identity and power struggles; presence and absence as an inconsistent experience; to depicting an idea of home as a translocating everyday endeavor, as well as revealing their own strategies of structure and re-structure as an incessant — sometimes futile — exercise.

From video and installation, collage and photography, performance and object-based art, there is a constellation of trial and error addressing the migratory experience as a place of remembrance and possible futures.
